How often do I need to change the filter?
We recommend changing the filter every 3-4 weeks to ensure optimal performance and maintain the highest quality of water for your pets. Additionally, the filter life indicator on the Elfin Fountain will turn solid orange to remind you when it's time to change the filter.
How often do you recommend cleaning the Elfin Fountain?
We recommend cleaning the Elfin Fountain once a week. However, cleaning the Elfin Fountain is not like a chore. All you need to do is take the water tank away from the base, disassemble the parts (the water tray, the tank, the conduit, and the impeller), and rinse and scrub them to clean. It's as easy as a breath, and there's no pump to worry about!
Can I use the Elfin Fountain for my dog?
Elfin Fountain is primarily designed for cats, with a water capacity of 2L (0.52 gallons). If you need to use it for a dog, it may be more suitable for small or medium breeds due to its size.
Can I use the Elfin Fountain while keeping it plugged in?
Yes, you can. We provide both options: wired and wireless usage for the Elfin Fountain. For its wired use, we also feature a downward-facing charging port design to prevent any possibility of electricity leakage.
Can I directly wash it in the dishwasher?
No, we do not recommend washing the entire Elfin Fountain in the dishwasher. However, the water tray is made of stainless steel and is dishwasher safe. For the other parts, please disassemble them and wash by hand to ensure they remain in good condition.
What dispensing modes does Elfin Fountain have?
Elfin Fountain has two dispensing modes: Intelligent Mode and Timer Mode. Intelligent Mode is designed to attract pets to drink more when they pass by or have not drunk for a while. Timer Mode dispenses water at set intervals to meet regular hydration needs.
What is the Care Kit? Is it necessary?
No, it is not a necessity for regular maintenance. The Care Kit is an optional choice for pet parents wanting the best results. For routine care, simply rinse the water conduit and the impeller during each fountain cleaning.
Why do you call Elfin Fountain a pumpless fountain?
‘Pumpless’ in the context of our fountain refers to the elimination of a conventional submerged pump, which is a common source of noise and maintenance hassle in traditional pet fountains. Instead, we use a magnetically driven impeller. This innovative design simplifies cleaning, reduces noise, and enhances the safety of the water your pets drink. By rethinking the way water is circulated, we've managed to keep the benefits of a pump—like water movement and filtration—without the usual complications.

This thing is so easy to clean and my cat loves it. 30 days in and I have not had to recharge it yet on smart mode. My only wish was that the entire water container and submerged parts were made of aluminum since plastic will get gross after time.
My foster cat never drinks any water. He is getting to be a senior now and I am concerned he is not getting enough hydration. I wondered if this quiet fountain would spark his interest. The fountain is easy to set up and it really is very quiet. I like the you can place it anywhere without worrying where to plug it. I give it 5 stars but unfortunately my kitty was afraid of it and did not come near it. I ended up donating it to my local shelter.

A while ago, I had a Petlibro fountain but I've always hated taking apart the motor, and it got slimy even after a decent amount of time. This Elfin fountain is soooo much easier to clean! The filter on top that tells you when it's needed to change is amazing and truly lasts for 3-4 weeks. My cat Hershey loves it! Truly amazing!
My cat, JJ, just loves his new fountain. It took him two weeks to try it, but he loves it now. It’s very quiet and he has learned how to turn the water on. The charge has lasted about a month so far, but haven’t recharged it yet. We’ve had it a month.

センサー式で使用しています。たとえ飲んでいても20秒で切れてしまうので、最初は？？？という感じでしたが、そのうちどうするばまた水が出るのかわかってきて、今ではすっかりお気に入りのおもちゃ兼水飲みになりました。
購入のきっかけである掃除のしやすさは、確かにポンプの掃除がないのはとても大きいですが、掃除しないとピンクカビが出そうな部品があります。なので星ひとつ減。でも、確かに楽になりました。結論は、買って良かったです！
