How often do I need to change the filter?
We recommend changing the filter every 3-4 weeks to ensure optimal performance and maintain the highest quality of water for your pets. Additionally, the filter life indicator on the Elfin Fountain will turn solid orange to remind you when it's time to change the filter.
How often do you recommend cleaning the Elfin Fountain?
We recommend cleaning the Elfin Fountain once a week. However, cleaning the Elfin Fountain is not like a chore. All you need to do is take the water tank away from the base, disassemble the parts (the water tray, the tank, the conduit, and the impeller), and rinse and scrub them to clean. It's as easy as a breath, and there's no pump to worry about!
Can I use the Elfin Fountain E1+ for my dog?
Elfin Fountain E1+ is primarily designed for cats, with a water capacity of 2L (0.52 gallons). If you need to use it for a dog, it may be more suitable for small or medium breeds due to its size.
Can I use the Elfin Fountain E1+ while keeping it plugged in?
Yes, you can. We provide both options: wired and wireless usage for the Elfin Fountain E1+. For its wired use, we also feature a downward-facing charging port design to prevent any possibility of electricity leakage.
Can I directly wash it in the dishwasher?
No, we do not recommend washing the entire Elfin Fountain E1+ in the dishwasher. However, the water tray is made of stainless steel and is dishwasher safe. For the other parts, please disassemble them and wash by hand to ensure they remain in good condition.
What is the Care Kit? Is it necessary?
No, it is not a necessity for regular maintenance. The Care Kit is an optional choice for pet parents wanting the best results. For routine care, simply rinse the water conduit and the impeller during each fountain cleaning.
Why do you call Elfin Fountain a pumpless fountain?
‘Pumpless’ in the context of our fountain refers to the elimination of a conventional submerged pump, which is a common source of noise and maintenance hassle in traditional pet fountains. Instead, we use a magnetically driven impeller. This innovative design simplifies cleaning, reduces noise, and enhances the safety of the water your pets drink. For our Elfin Fountain E1+, we’ve designed two modes—Smart Mode and Timer Mode—specifically to encourage cats to drink more, especially if they haven’t shown interest for a while. If your cat seems hesitant, we recommend giving it a little more time to adjust. Some cats take a bit longer to warm up to new things. Love this fountain so much, I've tried so so so many different kinds and I give up, this is going to be my forever fountain. It's so easy to clean. I don't even care that it's all plastic and not stainless steel or glass or whatever. So simple. No more pumps. I'm so happy :D I only wish I could connect it to my phone so I can check in when I'm away, but maybe/hopefully that will be an option in the future!
I will admit that it took my cat Kya a week to get used to the water cycle. She was used to a constant stream with her previous fountain. Elfin detects when my cat is thirsty which initiates the water flow. I have found that the type of fountain that runs constantly needs a motor replaced every six months. Since Elfin uses a gravity based technology, no motor maintenance required! I live in Florida and my biggest concern is losing power during our many summer storms. Elfin continues to run on battery power so my worries are gone. I also love how clean the fountain remains. This fountain has an orange light to remind you that it’s time for a filter replacement. Elfin fountain may seem pricey but it saves a lot of money in the long run. Best money spent to keep me worry free and my Kya hydrated!

以前ピュアクリスタルを使っていましたが、あまり飲んでくれないのと、洗いにくさから使用をやめました。こちらは、充電式なので置場所が選べる、洗うのが簡単、見た目もシンプルでおしゃれ、何より猫がたくさん水を飲んでくれるので大満足です。ステンレス皿の水垢が目立ってくるので、お皿だけの替えがあるといいなぁと思いました。
今まではコード内蔵のポンプタイプを使っていましたが 特に夏場になると分解掃除の手入れをこまめにしないといけませんでしたが、こちらの給水器は えっ？これだけ？ と思うほどに部品も少なく水量はあるし静かだし 満足です。
